Residential Lighting and Home Fashion Forecast’s Home View Named as 2015 min Editorial & Design Awards Finalists

Arlington Heights, IL (October 6, 2015) min, the magazine that serves the consumer and b2b magazine industry, recently announced the finalists for its 2015 Editorial & Design Awards. Scranton Gillette Communications’ brand Residential Lighting is a finalist in the Magazine Redesign and Best Use of Social Media categories. Home Fashion Forecast’s Home View supplement is a finalist in the New Publication Design category. The SGC brands are the only b2b finalists sharing these categories with such consumer publication heavyweights as Parents Magazine, People Magazine, Travel + Leisure, Coastal Living, and Golf Digest.

Residential Lighting debuted its fresh, new look with its December 2014 issue, the first full redesign for the brand since it was acquired by Scranton Gillette in 2009. The magazine was first published in December 1992, making it the longest-running publication serving residential lighting retailers, designers and manufacturers.

Residential Lighting has earned several accolades for its social media. Most recently, it was a Jesse H. Neal Award finalist for Best Use of Social Media, and it captured the 2015 AZBEE Gold Upper Midwest Regional Award in the Social Media Presence category. In addition to the min nod, Residential Lighting is also currently a finalist for Best Overall Use of Social Media in the FOLIO: Digital Eddie Awards.

Home Fashion Forecast’s quarterly digital supplement Home View, a finalist in min’s New Publication Design category, launched in June 2015 with timely thematic issues serving its audience of interior designers and retail home furnishings buyers.

“Keeping our audiences informed across multiple platforms is a total team effort,” says Publisher/Editorial Director Laura Van Zeyl. “It’s validating to have these efforts recognized in so many areas by such a prestigious organization amid such a high-profile field of other finalists.”

The winners will be announced at min’s editorial and design awards breakfast on November 18, at the Yale Club in New York City. For more information, visit www.minonline.com.
